Dianne Bartelle Shullaw8

Dianne8 (Wayne Jackson7, James Leroy6, Benjamin Franklin5, Jacob4, Peter3, Christophel2, Frederick1) was born at Gotham Hospital, New York City, 14 AUG 1945, and moved to Mantua, OH; Pekin, IL; and Hudson, IA; before beginning first grade in Lansing, IL.  She attended first, second, third and part of fourth grade inLansing, and part of fourth grade through eighth grade in nearbyCalumet City.  While still living inCalumet City, she attended and was graduated from Thornton Fractional Township High School South, in Lansing.

She was graduated from Southern Illinois University, Carbondale, with a Bachelor of Science degree in communications (journalism).  She completed her work in the summer of 1967, receiving her diploma by mail the following June in Alaska, where she had re-located with her first husband, Robert Warren Anderson.

Dianne and Bob were married11 JUL 1964, at the Community Presbyterian Church,Calumet City -- where Dianne had been baptized and accepted into membership 3 APR 1960.  Dianne and Bob met as students at SIU where they returned at the end of the 1964 summer.

Bob Anderson was born28 OCT 1942 atBaltimore,MD, and was a resident ofWashington D.C. at the time of his marriage.  His step-father, Harold H. Velde, had served in Congress representing the Tazewell Co., IL, area for a number of years.  Both Bob's mother and late father had deep southernIllinois family roots.

Bob and Dianne were the parents of a daughter who died shortly after birth atCarbondale's Doctors' Hospital.  Bob joined the United States Army and Lt. and Mrs. Anderson re-located toAnchorage,AK, in the summer of 1967.  Their son was born the following spring. Bob and Dianne were divorced14 June 1972 inAnchorage.

Dianne married Charles Lewis O'Connell24 MAY 1977 at Anchorage. O'Connell was born 8 APR 1942 atKalispell,MT, and had lived inAlaska since 1952.  He had three children by a previous marriage:  Catherine Colleen O'Connell, Shannon Lynn O'Connell, and John William O'Connell. Chuck and Dianne had two daughters: Jennifer and Jessica.

Dianne was graduated from San Francisco Theological Seminary in May, 1986, and was ordained a Presbyterian minister on 15 NOV 1986.  She served as a hospital chaplain atProvidence Hospital,Anchorage,AK, for eight and one half years, before assuming the position of Program Director/Executive Director for the Alaska Nurses' Association in May of 1999.

Dianne and Bob Anderson were the parents of:

Dianne and Chuck O’Connell were the parents of:

            [a.]       Jennifer Ellen9, born 29 NOV 1977, and

Jeffrey Lee Anderson9

Jeff9 (Dianne Bartelle8, Wayne Jackson7, James Leroy6, Benjamin Franklin5, Jacob4, Peter3, Christophel2, Frederick1) was born 21 MAR 1968 at Elmendorf Air Force Base outside Anchorage, AK and attended several elementary schools (Turnagain, Woodland Park, Tudor, and Abbott Loop), Wendler Junior High School; East High School; the Secondary And Vocation Education (SAVE) High School; and the Anchorage Community College High School Division.   He was graduated8 MAY 1986.

Following high school, Jeff and two friends took a two week vacation toHawaii.  In the fall, he re-located to the Los Angeles, CA, area where he spent one year sharing an apartment with his step-sister Shannon O'Connell and two of her friends.

Returning toAlaska in the fall of 1987, Jeff met Miss Brigette Tristan McFadden.  Brigette and Jeff left forRedding,CA, in the fall of 1988, where Jeff attendedShasta Community College.  The couple married14 FEB 1990 at theNew Life Center,Redding,CA, and returned toAnchorage the following month. The couple were divorced in June 1998.

On19 JUN 1999, Jeff married the former Candace Lynn (Brummer) Smith inReno,Nevada.  Candy brought to the family five sons, Bryant and Aaron Greene, and Nathan, Zachary, and Dustin Smith. Jeff and Candy were divorced in September 2004.

Jeff‘s fiancée (2006) Ronda Johnson has one son, Brian, and one daughter, Tiffany.

Jeff is employed by the Midnight Sun Trucking Company.

Jeff and first wife Brigette are the parents of one daughter:

Jennifer Ellen O’Connell9

Jenna9 (Dianne Bartelle8, Wayne Jackson7, James Leroy6, Benjamin Franklin5, Jacob4, Peter3, Christophel2, Frederick1) was born29 NOV 1977 at Providence Alaska Medical Center,Anchorage.  She was graduated from East Anchorage High School (School Within a School) on 24 MAY 1995 with a better than 3.5 grade point average and ranking about 29th in her class of 389.  Her interests in high school centered on the study of Russian language and culture and playing trombone in the symphonic band.  She visited Chernogolovka, outsideMoscow, on two different student exchanges for three weeks each in 1993 and 1995. 

Jennifer won first place in the statewide Olympiada for spoken Russian in the spring of 1995 and returned toRussia in July for the second time that year to compete internationally inMoscow.  She received a bronze metal at the international level. 

She was graduated from theUniversity of Oregon,Eugene, in June 1999 with majors in Russian, International Relations, and History.  She returned toAnchorage where she was employed by the ARC of Anchorage for two years.  She then accepted a position with Microsoft, Inc. in Redmond,WA in July 2001.

Jenna and Michael M. Goff were married October 11, 2008 at All Pilgrims' Christian Church, Seattle, WA.  Mike is the son of Priscilla Goff of Wasilla, AK, and is employed by Verizon.  Jenna and Mike make their home in Lynnwood, WA, with their Pug, Rufus, and Puggle, Willow.

Jessica Dianne O’Connell9

Jessye9 (Dianne Bartelle8, Wayne Jackson7, James Leroy6, Benjamin Franklin5, Jacob4, Peter3, Christophel2, Frederick1) was born3 AUG 1980 at Providence Alaska Medical Center,Anchorage. She was graduated fromEast Anchorage High School (School Within a School) in the spring of 1998. Her interests in elementary and junior high school included the study of the Spanish language.  She participated in a school-sponsored trip toCosta Rica during sixth grade. In high school, her main focus was on the theatre arts. She participated in theUniversity ofAlaska,Anchorage's Theatre of Youth program; the Magic If Shakespearean Ensemble; and theEast High school theatre program.  As part of the ATY program, she spent three weeks inNew Zealand in the summer of 1994.

Jessye spent her first two years at theUniversity of Alaska,Anchorage in the Department of Theatre.  During the summer of 1999, she taught theatre in the Anchorage Theatre of Youth program atValdez, AK. During the summers of both 2000 and 2001, she directed children in theJuneau branch of the Anchorage Theatre of Youth.

Jessye was graduated from theUniversity of Alaska Southeast in Juneau,Alaska in May 2002, with honors.  (need details).

Jessye married Donald Wayne Schmitz on 21 DEC 2003 at theAlaska Native Heritage Center,Anchorage,AK.  Don was born11 JAN 1978 inColorado and raised in Homer,Alaska. Don is the son of A.J. and Lynn Schmitz ofSoldotna, Alaska, andNekoma,Kansas. The couple currently resides in Lynnwood, WA, with their daughter:
